Summer Update

Hello friends and lovers, and happy pride month!

I’m sorry it’s been a while. I’m (gratefully) very busy these days with work, education, and traveling. Big life updates include finishing my degree, solo-traveling to Seattle for the first time, and celebrating my birthday in May. The recent sunshine, however, has made it difficult not to spend afternoons laying around in my underwear and eating otter pops – if that sounds like and ideal date to you, please hit me the fuck up. Apart from the sun-fueled lethargy, I’m really looking forward to the rest of the summer, and all the concerts, nature, skating, and traveling I’m planning on enjoying.
On the topic of traveling, I’ll be in Las Vegas for a few days at the end of the month. Be sure to send an email if you’re interested in meeting! A perfect date would include a trip to Zak Bagans’ Haunted Museum…just putting it out there. I’m also planning on making my way down to LA before the summer ends – if you’d like to accelerate the process, reach out about a FMTY arrangement. For the folks near my home base, though here’s some suggestions:

  • Kinky folks – book a dungeon date! For a slightly higher deposit, we can book time at a wonderful local BDSM dungeon. We’ll have access to all kinds of fun toys, tools, and furniture, and you’ll be supporting my ongoing kink education and training.
  • I’d love to attend the Waterfront Blues Festival happening July 1st-4th here in Portland.
  • The Guillermo Del Toro: Crafting Pinocchio exhibit is open through September at the Portland Art Museum.
  • Lunch and swimming at the river is a simple but extremely enjoyable afternoon date. Extra points if we can take some edibles beforehand.
  • Let’s check out the blooms at the International Rose Test Garden (and/or try to find one with the most ridiculous name).

I’m looking forward to the season’s debauchery. Let’s get into it.

Auds/Ends

What I’m reading

I’m currently rereading one of my favorites of all time, Parable of the Sower by Octavia E. Butler. It hits pretty close to home (in a few ways), but it’s unparalleled in its portending yet hopeful storytelling.

What I’m watching

I’ve been catching up on a few popular shows from recent years. However, I strongly support the WGA strike that began on May 2nd of this year. I encourage anyone reading this to research the context and demands of the Writer’s Guild, donate to support funds, and join the picket line/release statements of support from your own unions, if possible. If you’re a WGA member who’s looking to book time, message me about a discount.
